Ups and downs. S34

Written by Abelixe at 00:43 4/12-2015

The main goal for season 34 was to take the last "major" step, reaching top division. Team Abelixe started out full of optimism, holding 2 raw diamonds, materialised as Martin Pires and Prospero Velez. But ended up shoveling shit on the dung heap.

  - Martin Pires, a young sprinter who potentially, could, have been, one of the best sprinters breed in Colombia for years, turned out to be the biggest flop in Abelixes History. Abelixe bought him from Ultras Nafta for 90k, and what Seemed the perfect match, turned out to be the perfect nightmare, maxing at 36avg. Oliviero was angry... Extremely angry. It culminated when Oliviero found Pires eating pizza and watching bad porn in the hotel room, just before an important race test. A combo involving a wrench and the arm bolt holding Pires bike, resulted in a broken arm. It was A accident... off course....!! Pires is currently, some how filling the role as leadout, and more important, the one, everyone can blame for everything, which helps the team spirit quite a lot.
  Potential:
CL: Small DH: None HL: Small SP: Very good (62) FR: Good (54) CB: Small TT: Small TQ: Average (39).

  - Prospero Velez, seemed to be the next gen. Cobble star, and a unique match for the Tweedaagse van Antwerpen. Everything was going great, the disappointment after Pires, was slowly fading away and Velez was responding well to the training, especially on the TQ part he responded excellent. Just when it was about to get really really good, Velez got hit by a moped and got a bad fracture on several back spines. Velez is back on the bike, he is never going to be the mega-star he was aiming to be, but he will be a very valuable cobble TM many seasons to come. He will get chances on his own but winning the Tweedaagse van Antwerpen Title is not a realistic scenario anymore, maxing at 44avg.
  Potential:
CL: None DH: Good HL: Small SP: Small FR: Good (64) CB: Good (76) TT: Average TQ: Very good (81).

"The Golden Boy" Foncho Reto, keeps developing and fine tune his abilities. Reaching 810points. Reto has managed to become a real super-star for Colombia and a role model for many young boys, knowing that you can become something great, despite of being a odd looking stuttering man. There is a energy drink named after Reto in Colombia, the "Foncho Frenzy" when you fell Ret(r)o. Pherphaps not the most innovative slogan, the advertisers came up with, and the drink tastes like sh.t, but nevertheless Reto is raising towards the top. It's no longer just a dream to capture the rainbow jersey the coming seasons! its a GOAL. BUT Abelixe needs more work on training and scouting. REAL talent is much needed, If the all South American team Abelixe is to reach, Top Division, where they obviously belong. And then, Abelixe will have the RAINBOW within reach.

  Stats:
CL: None (39) DH: None (26) HL: None (32) SP: None (45) FR: Very good (83) CB: None (28) TT: Incredible (93) TQ: Good (78)
